:: PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY PROGRAM:

Which is the admission procedure for Professional Photography Programs?

You must send the following documents to apply for the Professional Photography Programs:
- Curriculum Vitae
- Statement of intent/letter of motivation
- Portfolio with 10 - 15 photos in prints, CD, slides or in JPEG by e-mail.

Once we have received all the documents, we will send our response within 15 days to inform you on the status of your application.
If accepted, you have to confirm your enrollment by sending a deposit.

I’m a beginner - do I have any chances of being accepted?

Our most important recruiting criterion is your MOTIVATION. We welcome beginners and advanced participants in our programs.

I already have some experience in photography - what does SPEOS have in store for me?

At SPEOS all aspects of professional photography are taught. If you already master certain skills, you will progress very fast, quickly be able to use all our facilities on your own, and focus on those aspects that are new for you.

What is your students' profile?

Very varied - certain students are in redeployment, others are university students, some are photographers who come to SPEOS to update their techniques.

May I choose courses " à la carte"?

Our Professional Photography Programs comprise 2 independent but complementary parts. You cannot choose your courses " à la carte " as they are linked and it is necessary to pass them all, so as to professionally work in photography.

When should I apply for the Professional Photography Programs?

As we review applications as we receive them and as places are limited, we advise you to apply as early as possible. Afterwards, you might be put on the waiting list and will only know at very short notice whether you can join the program.

Is it possible to obtain financial aid through the school?

Unfortunately, SPEOS cannot offer any scholarship or financial aid. Please contact your home university or private associations for funding.

Does one receive a diploma after the completion of the Professional Photography Programs?

Upon successful completion of the Professional Photography Programs, SPEOS delivers a private school diploma and transcripts. You may also obtain credits from our programs for most American universities.
From September 2006 onwards, SPEOS offers the possibility to obtain the degree of a European Master of Professional Photography, certified by E.A.B.H.E.S. (the European Accreditation Board of Higher Education Schools). To be eligible, students must have acquired a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), or at least 5 years of significant work experience (upon approval by SPEOS). Candidates for the Master’s degree must register with E.A.B.H.E.S., successfully attend both the 32-week program and the Expert Modules at SPEOS, and complete their personal master project. They also need to pass a foreign language test (TEF/Test d’Evaluation du Français or TCF/Test de Connaissance du Français for English native speakers; TOEIC/Test Of English for International Communication for the rest).
